Breast cancer and estrogen supplementation

If women are taking estrogen pills for a time more than fifteen years then she is at greater risk of developing breast cancer. Studies have shown that the women who have taken estrogen pills for less than 10 years are not subjected to the risk of breast cancer. For normal growth and development of breast estrogen hormone is necessary. It is responsible for controlling menstruation and reproduction. Estrogen supplement is related to the breast cancer because it is responsible for cell division in women. It is important when the breast is in important stage of growth. Certain kind of diet increases the level of estrogen in blood thereby increasing the risk of breast cancer. Proper health of heart and bones is maintained with the help of estrogen. For reducing risk of breast cancer, regular exercise must be performed. Exercise will help to reduce estrogen level in body and the length of menstrual cycle can also be extended. Due to extended menstrual cycle body will be less exposed to estrogen resulting in reduced risk of breast cancer. Women who get menarche at early age of life to menopause at the later stage are having greater risk of breast cancer. Studies have shown that the time for which a person is exposed to estrogen determines whether there is risk of breast cancer.
