Possible Side Effects with Probiotic Supplements

Probiotics are live organisms that are located in the digestive tracts of the human body. Consequently, probiotic supplements are dietary aids that help to add to the presence of these essential microorganisms in the body. While these organisms are known to be beneficial for the body, they might have both major and minor side effects on the person that is using these supplements to strengthen the body.
These side effects can be things like bloating and gas, which are the two most common side effects of the supplements. The side effects are typically noticed among individuals that consume both dietary as well as medicinal supplements, together with these beneficial microorganisms. Yet, a lot of individuals have also been known to have severe fungal infections in the body, subsequently after long term use of these essential supplements.   There has also been some evidence that the high dosages or long term usage of probiotic supplements can ruptures the immune system and that can make the body defenseless to many conditions. When there is a probiotic stimulated infection there will need to be antibiotics taken to rid the body of this infection and they are normally prescribed in high dosages to treat this infection.  This is a type of supplement that should only be taken with the express permission of the physician when there are medical conditions present or medication being taken.
